Privacy Policy

VeriLM is an AI verification service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to deliver the service and to be transparent about how that information flows.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plaintext.
- Submitted content. The prompts you submit, the documents you upload, and the analyses VeriLM generates for you.
- Usage and billing data. Per-request metadata (model used, token counts, cost, timestamps) for billing, debugging, and product improvement. If you are on a paid plan, your billing identifiers from our payment processor.
- Operational logs. Standard server logs (IP address, request method and path, response status) retained for a limited operational window for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To run the analyses you request and return results to you.
- To bill correctly and enforce any plan limits.
- To investigate errors and improve the product. Aggregated, de-identified usage patterns may inform engineering changes.
- To communicate with you about your account, including service notices and security alerts.
Third-party processors
To generate analyses, VeriLM forwards your prompts and uploaded content to upstream large-language-model providers, which may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and OpenRouter. These providers process the content under their own terms; VeriLM does not control their internal handling. Our application is hosted on Railway.
We do not sell your content. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your submitted content to train models of our own.
Retention
Account and submitted-content data is retained for as long as your account is active. Operational logs are retained for a limited window (typically 90 days) and then aged out. Billing records are retained as required for accounting and tax purposes.
Your rights and choices
You can access and review the projects and analyses tied to your account from inside the application. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Delete Account page once signed in. Deletion is permanent and immediate; backups and operational logs age out under the schedule above.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as salted, one-way hashes. Access to production systems is limited to authorized engineering staff.
Children
VeriLM is not intended for use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email and noted at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date.
